McCHORD AFB, WA (AFPN) — With the snip of a fiber-optic ribbon, McChord Air Force Base opened its gates as the newly renamed Microsoft Air Force Base. The renaming ceremony culminated an 18-month effort that now stands as a significant, technically advanced deterrent against assymetric threats over a significant portion of America's cyberspace.
